Stem and Peel

In this work I am exploring fruits, using a silicone basketball ball as the orange peel and then poking a mix of artificial and real grape stems.
I am interested in themes of the people-made and nature. I see materials as a way to everyday objects as a link to these connections. I like how some plastic materials look plant like or life-like or completely different. Such as the artificial grape stems which don't look like real grape stems at all, the stems are purely created form to securely attach the fake grape.
